Hey everyone! I went a bit overboard this season and ended up with way too many seedlings. As a newbie, I'm not really sure how to maximize my space. I think I might have planted my potatoes a bit too far apart, so I'm curious if I can fit anything else in between them. I have some dwarf beans, peas, spring onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Are any of these good companions for potatoes?

Just keep in mind that if you plan to dig up your potatoes later, other plants could get disturbed. It might be better to stick with quick-harvest options like lettuce or spring onions. Avoid tomatoes or beans since they can take longer to harvest. They might be good for your main crop potatoes, but only if you plant them after the potatoes are in the ground.
You can definitely plant things with shallow roots like peas and beans. Garlic also works well if you have it! They won't compete too much with your potatoes and can thrive fairly well together.
