Hey everyone! I'm curious if anyone can provide a summary of what's different between the new version of The Anarchist's Tool Chest and the original. I don't want to read everything again since I've already gone through the first edition, but I'm interested in knowing the key changes and upgrades that have been made.

From what I've seen on the website, the revised edition has a lot of updates in the tool recommendations. The author, Schwarz, actually shortened the list of tools he suggests and introduced easier construction methods for the tool chest. It looks like the chest design now has more space for tools and easier accessibility. Plus, the physical book has been upgraded with better paper and a more readable typeface. The original edition was a bit rough around the edges visually, but this one is much more polished, which is nice! The price remains the same as before at $51.

I haven't read the old version either, but I'm working through the new one now. I just hit page 280, and he's just getting into the chest construction. The intro mentions some significant design changes like a smaller sawtill, a fourth sliding tray, and new storage options for handled tools. It seems like the new version is designed to allow for more flexibility with what you can store, which is great for those of us who have different kinds of tools!

That actually sounds useful! I’ve got a bunch of specialized tools too, and the idea of being able to fit them better is tempting.
