I've been hearing this strange drilling sound in my walls, and it's been really persistent. It started about half an hour ago and happens every 10-15 seconds in short bursts. I've noticed this sound a few times over the years, but it's been super frequent this week. What's weird is that the sound moves around, and it's not close to any water pipes since it's far from the bathroom or kitchen. Could it be an animal? It honestly sounds like a woodpecker pecking really quickly! Check out the video I linked (make sure the sound is on)!

If you share walls with someone, it might be construction noise from next door. I've heard similar sounds at work when they hit the drill's torque limit. But if the sound is moving around, definitely check for any animals causing a fuss!
Haha, could it be that you've got a woodpecker getting a little too friendly? I had one that kept making holes to get into my house, and I tried everything to get rid of it—woodpecker deterrents, filling the holes, you name it. They're persistent little buggers!
You might want to check for termites too! They can sometimes be a cause of weird noises in the walls!
No joke, it could actually be a woodpecker on your chimney or near your gutters. Those birds are pretty loud and can cause a ruckus!
Oh man, that's wild! What do you do about it?

Yeah, I share a garage, but the sound is on the opposite side of the house. It's so puzzling!
