What’s That Loud Humming Box in My House?

I recently moved into a new house, and I noticed a box near the AC and heater that has started to emit a loud buzzing noise, kind of like when a phone is on vibrate. It's quite alarming! Does anyone know what this box might be and if there's a way to fix it? Here's a picture of it: https://ibb.co/p6BXz72H

That buzzing sound is most likely coming from your doorbell. Sometimes the button can get stuck, causing the chime to keep ringing even when no one is pressing it. You might want to check if the button is jammed.

Yeah, that was my first thought too! If it keeps buzzing loudly, definitely look for that stuck button.

For sure, it sounds like your doorbell is stuck in the 'on' position. Just try disconnecting it or pulling the wires; it’s low voltage, so it’s safe. I dealt with this a few months back, and replacing the doorbell was a breeze after fixing the wires!

Good tip! I had the same issue before and just replacing the doorbell made all the noise go away.
