I was hanging some frames on a wall in my 113-year-old home and started hearing strange sounds, like large paper movements or paper falling. I'm a bit concerned and wondering if this is something I should worry about. The wall is between the hallway and the bedroom on the second floor, and I have no idea what's going on inside it.

It's not uncommon to find old newspapers stuffed in walls as insulation, especially in houses that age. They can definitely make noises when you hammer into the wall. It might be a good idea to check what's actually in there, but it could just be some old papers moving around.
Honestly, just roll with it! Old homes come with their quirks and surprises. As long as the walls aren't crumbling down, you're probably fine.
Sounds like you might be hearing some plaster falling off the wood laths inside the wall. It happens, especially in older homes. Not necessarily a huge issue, but something to keep an eye on!
