Hey everyone! I'm dealing with a hot master bedroom on the second floor during the summer. Our house is a bit older, and while we've replaced the HVAC unit and had air ducts worked on, the heat just rises, making it uncomfortable upstairs. I'm looking for alternatives to cool down just our bedroom, which is about 150 sqft. A window AC unit would be a hassle to install, and my fiancée suggested one of those ductless mini-split systems that you see in Airbnbs, but I'm not sure how those work. I'm also considering a portable AC. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Ductless mini-splits are a solid option if you're handy with DIY projects. They can be a bit pricey if you hire someone to install them, but they work really well for cooling specific rooms! Just make sure you know what you’re getting into before committing.
