Hey everyone! I just bought some land and I'm gearing up to develop it. Since I plan to use solar power for most of my energy needs, I'm looking for advice on the best battery setup. I have a Victron Quattro 5000W inverter charger and 3000W of Sun Gold solar panels, installed on a ground rack mount that gets plenty of sun. I need to power tools like a chop saw and table saw, so I'm trying to figure out how much battery capacity, in amp-hours (Ah), I'll need. I'm familiar with 6V AGM batteries but thinking about switching to lithium for faster charging and day-to-day use. I'm particularly interested in brands you'd recommend, your experiences with them, and any insights on ideal setups for a situation like mine.

I've had a great experience using the Homegrid Stackd batteries, especially with Victron gear since their BMS integrates really well. They offer easy modular expansion and don't require an extra rack setup. Check them out!
For solar setups today, LiFePO4 is the way to go since prices have dropped significantly. I recommend going with several server rack batteries for redundancy—it’s safer than a single large unit, especially if you lose grid access. EcoWorthy has good rack batteries that can be found for $750-$800 each, and a setup of 3-4 should cover your needs well. Can't have too many panels or batteries!
I do worry about relying on a single large unit—what if it fails? But I do realize losing a server rack could be a setback too.
Honestly, just go for the major brand that's the cheapest. Most batteries out there use cells made by only a handful of manufacturers, so it often comes down to the build quality. I've used some no-name 12V batteries, strung them in 48V, and they’ve done the job just fine. Focus on temp sensors if that’s a concern, though!
Eco Worthy usually has the best prices. You can find them on eBay for around 800 bucks each, including racks.

How much did that run you per unit? I like the look of them and the specs.
