What’s the Best Cleaner/Lube for My Cordless Drill?

I'm looking for recommendations on a cleaner or lubricant for my cordless drill, especially since I've gotten a lot of sheetrock dust stuck inside it. I tried using compressed air to blow it out, but I'm wondering if there's a universal spray or solvent that could help me clean and lube it at the same time. Any suggestions?

Brake cleaner can be pretty rough on rubber and plastics over time, so I’d steer clear of it. Try CRC’s plastic-safe contact cleaner instead; you can usually find it at Home Depot. It works great!

Oh, I’ve used that on computer parts before. It’s a solid suggestion!

I've had some success taking out the batteries and using brake cleaner to get things really clean. Just make sure to use it carefully!

Honestly, I'd recommend using a good contact cleaner instead of brake cleaner. It's generally safer and more effective for these kinds of tools.
