Hey everyone! I'm looking to pick up a compact or trim router as I'm building a router table insert for my table saw. I'm currently using an old Craftsman full-size router, which isn't cutting it for me anymore. I'm fine with using corded tools since I work in my garage and shed, but I do have some Milwaukee M18 tools and batteries lying around. I'm considering the Bosch 1.25HP trim router but I keep eyeing the Milwaukee M18 too. I'm really looking for the best value and versatility for my money, especially since I've got $100 in Woodcraft gift cards that could come in handy. What do you all recommend?

I also recommend checking out the Milwaukee M18 trim router. It's surprisingly powerful for a cordless model, which is great if you're already invested in that battery system. You won't regret going cordless for convenience, especially in smaller spaces like garages.
I also like Milwaukee, but I have the Makita and it's not bad either but the M18 feels more powerful to me!
If you need a reliable corded option, the Ridgid has been solid for me. The power's great, and I really like the adjustment system. Just keep in mind there's no plunge base available for it. If you need that, though, I'd lean more towards the DeWalt since it has that option.
You really can't go wrong with the DeWalt options. I find both power and depth adjustments to be very reliable!
Yes, the Ridgid is powerful indeed! But I've regretted not buying the plunge base. Totally worth it if you're doing fancier work.
I've had great experiences with DeWalt compact routers! I have a few of them, and they work like a charm. If you're looking for versatility and power, I think you'd really appreciate the DeWalt for that. Plus, if you already have DeWalt batteries, it simplifies everything!
Totally agree! I love how the DeWalt routers just fit into my existing battery system.
Why do you have three though? Are they really that indispensable?

I recently switched to Milwaukee cordless tools too. The freedom of no cords is game-changer!
