I'm new to gardening and have set up a backyard garden. I've figured out what plants I want to grow, but I'm not sure which seed companies to use. I'm considering a few options: Territorial Seed Company, Seed Savers Exchange, and High Mowing Organic Seeds, as they all offer the seeds I need at similar prices. I'm specifically looking for high-quality organic seeds and want to support companies that are sustainable and have unions. Any recommendations?

I personally vouch for Seed Savers Exchange. They’ve provided me with great germination rates. Territorial is also reliable. Apart from those, Renee’s Garden and Johnny’s are solid choices too!
Sticking to regional sources has worked best for me, especially since the climate here in the Pacific Northwest is unique. I recommend Adaptive Seeds, Uprising Seeds, and Osborne Seeds. However, for varieties that excel here but aren't available locally, I've successfully ordered from Fedco and Johnny's.
Adaptive Seeds is fantastic! I can't order from them anymore since I’m Canadian, but I definitely recommend them to those in the States.
I ordered from Seed Savers Exchange and had a great experience with germination rates! Definitely worth considering if you want healthy plants.
For unique seed varieties, Sandhill Preservation is definitely worth a look. They operate the old-fashioned way, where you send a check or money order for your orders. It’s a bit of a throwback but they have excellent seeds that I've used for years.
I second this recommendation. They've got some awesome stuff!
I've had good success with Prairie Road Organic Seeds. They come from North Dakota, so they're really sturdy and suitable for various conditions. Check them out!
If you're looking to support local growers, check out Open Circle Seeds based in Mendocino or San Diego Seeds. They focus on open-pollinated varieties, which is perfect for small-scale gardening! Plus, buying local helps you adapt to your specific climate needs.
Great, thanks! I'll check those out.

Seconding Renee’s! They’ve been my most successful source this season.
