What’s the best fix for door hinge screws that keep coming loose?

I'm dealing with an issue where the screws for my kid's door hinges keep coming out of the frame. I've tried the toothpick trick a few times already, but it seems like the wear and tear is just too much with how rough my kid is with the door. I came across some suggestions to use wood glue to fill and re-drill the screw holes. Is that the best way to handle this, or are there better solutions out there?

One solid fix is to use longer screws! Head to your local hardware store and grab some construction or decking screws that are 1.5 to 3 inches long. The standard short screws that come with hinges just don’t grip enough since they only catch the wooden trim. Longer screws will reach into the framing behind the door and hold better. Just make sure you have standard drywall walls with 2x4 framing, and you should be good!
