I recently purchased a small 6x4 resin shed to store my mower and a few other tools that are cluttering my garage. I live in Arkansas and I'm trying to decide on the best type of foundation. A concrete pad seems a bit excessive for my needs, so I'm looking for advice on a suitable option that won't break the bank. Any tips or suggestions would be really appreciated! Thanks in advance!

One solid option is to use four concrete blocks. Just bury them about 5 inches below ground at each corner. Then, build a frame using pressure-treated 4x4 posts. For flooring, add joists made from 2x4s spaced every 16 inches, and lay pressure-treated planks on top of that. Just make sure to screw everything down tightly and leave a tiny gap between the planks for drainage. This will give you a sturdy base for your shed. If you're on a budget, consider checking places where docks or decks are being torn down—you might grab usable lumber for a fraction of the cost!
If you're looking for something less permanent and cheaper than concrete, I’d suggest using those plastic hexagon mats. Just interlock them and fill the gaps with gravel. I used this method for my hot tub, and it really did the trick! It gives good support without all the hassle of a full concrete slab.
