I'm looking at investing in a solid greenhouse for my cacti and some vegetables. I have a decent budget set aside, and I'm particularly interested in options that include additional shading for my cacti since I'll be storing some older and rare varieties. I have an outhouse where I'm thinking of adding a lean-to for some extra thermal mass. I've been looking into Robinsons and Alton greenhouses, but they seem a bit pricey. Do you have any thoughts on these brands or suggestions for other options? I'm quite anxious about making the wrong choice and losing my 40+ year-old plants in a storm!

You might be overthinking the shading for your cacti, especially in the UK! Most of my hardy ones thrive outdoors all year without any extra shade. But if you are concerned about extreme weather, maybe look into more affordable brands that still have good insulation and stability, rather than those high-end options.

I feel you! I lost a cactus during the last heatwave too, so maybe some extra cooling measures could help! Just make sure whatever you choose can handle the elements.
