What’s the Best Ground Cover for Areas with Heavy Shade?

Asked By GardenGuru87 On

I'm dealing with a persistent ground elder issue in my garden and am looking for some ground cover to help control it. My garden has many trees and thick hedges that create a lot of heavy shade, so I'm uncertain about what type of plants would thrive in these conditions. Any recommendations for a low-maintenance ground cover that I can grow from seed?

You might also want to consider Corsican mint. It does a good job at choking out other plants in shady areas, so it could be a solid choice.

Another option to look at is sweet woodruff. It thrives in shade and can add a nice touch to your garden.
