Hey everyone! I'm building cabinets and setting up my miter and table saws, but I'm unsure about the perfect height for them. I've been feeling some strain while working over the saws, and I'm looking for a comfortable height to set them at. Right now, my stands feel a bit low, so I'm curious what you think is the ideal height for saw tables that feels comfortable during use. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! - Jon

For most people, a height around 30-36 inches works pretty well. Industry standard saws usually sit at about 34-35 inches, which is a good starting point. It offers a nice balance between comfort and usability!
You can figure out your ideal height by relaxing your arms and bending your elbows out to the side. Measure at the point where your arms feel comfortable. Also, consider using multi-purpose surfaces like kitchen counters for height comparison. Some folks even build adjustable workbenches for flexibility!
Since I'm 6'4", I prefer my saws a bit higher than what most might find comfortable. If you get the chance to customize your height, go for what's most comfortable for you! That's the real key to finding your 'perfect' height.
I usually set my benches at the same height as my sawhorses. A bit higher might be more comfortable, but having that sawhorse option lets me support longer pieces easily. It's a good compromise!

Haha, I guess we’re both in the same boat! I’m about 6'1", but maybe I should consider adjusting my saw height closer to yours since I’ve been feeling that strain.
