Hey everyone, I'm trying to make a decision on an impact gun setup. I'm considering either the DCF921B compact model or the DCF891B mid-torque to go along with my existing DCF900B high-torque. I'm looking for something that can handle a wide range of jobs—from lug nut removals and brake jobs to alignments and top-end work, especially in those tight spaces. My concern is that the mid-torque might be too bulky for fitting into wheel wells, while I'm worried the compact could lack the power needed for stuff like caliper bolts and axle nuts. What do you all use, and what would you recommend?

I use the DCF923 (which is the 921 but in 3/8) along with the 891 and 900. I lean more toward heavy-duty work, so I might grab the 964 soon. The 923 is great in tight spots when paired with 3/8 impact sockets. The 891 is powerful enough for most tasks but can be a bit overkill for delicate areas like top engine components. Oh, and definitely consider adding the DCF500 ratchet—it's a real game-changer!
If you've already got the DCF900, I’d recommend going for the DCF921. It’s more compact than the 891, plus you’ve got that high-torque option when you need serious power.

I thought the 894 would do the trick for those Honda crank bolts, but I learned the hard way that you need something with more torque for that. I ended up getting a 961 and plan to add a 921 to my collection. The 894 has held up pretty well overall, but I just wish it was smaller. The 921 really provides a good balance of power and size. For a DIY mechanic, I think the 921 and 900 would cover most needs, while pros might want a more diverse setup. I also got the DCF512 ratchet and it's super handy!
