I recently purchased some new plants and want to make sure they stay healthy while I keep them isolated from my older plants. I'm wondering how long I should quarantine them to catch any potential pests that might have hitched a ride. What's a good waiting period before introducing them to my other plants?

I usually stick with the 4-week standard, it's worked well for me so far!
Ideally, it's best to quarantine new plants for at least 4 weeks. This gives you time to spot any pests or issues. I usually give mine an insecticide spray as soon as they arrive just to be safe!
I tend to repot my new plants right when I get home. This way, I can check their condition directly, but I always wait to fully acclimate them before doing so. Just keep an eye out for anything unusual!
Yeah, I get that! I had a fuzzy spot on one plant that looked like an egg sac, so I rinsed it and repotted it immediately, but I still kept it quarantined.
