What’s the Best Roof Mounting Hardware for Architectural Shingles?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for recommendations on the best roof mounting hardware specifically for architectural shingles. I've been watching a bunch of YouTube videos, but the information is pretty mixed. I came across a product called Ironridge FlashFoot 2 that seems promising. My plan is to use this caulk-like PL S30 to create a U-shape to prevent water from getting into the bolt holes, and I'm considering using more of that under the shingles too for a better seal. I also read about the new Ironridge Hug Ultra mounts, but since they're new, I'm worried about their long-term performance. Any advice before I dive in? Thanks!

Ironridge FlashFoot 2 is pretty DIY-friendly and you can find it easily. Just make sure you have a good technique for anchoring the lag screws into a sturdy structure—that's key. If you follow the installation instructions, you shouldn't run into any issues.

Have you tried the new Ironridge Hug mounts yet? Any other recommendations?
