What’s the best rubbing alcohol percentage to get rid of mealy bugs on my money plant?

Hey everyone! I'm dealing with a mealy bug infestation on my money plant and I've tried using a 50% rubbing alcohol solution mixed with liquid detergent, but it didn't work for me. I've also tried neem oil, but that hasn't been effective either. What other options do I have, and what percentage of rubbing alcohol would actually work?

If neem oil hasn't worked directly for you, maybe try mixing it with water as per the product instructions. Also, some folks have had success with insecticidal soap if you're looking for alternatives. Just remember to apply at night or when it's cooler to prevent leaf burn!

It sounds like you might need to bump that alcohol percentage up! A 70% solution is generally more effective against mealy bugs. Make sure to thoroughly coat the affected areas and keep repeating the treatment every few days until they're gone. Just be cautious with the sensitive leaves, as high concentrations can damage them.
