I'm looking to plant some flowers in my garden and want to know the best type of soil to use from Home Depot. I plan to plant Asters, some flowers from the Rudbecka family, and Golden Alexander. My garden gets a lot of sun, and I'm located in a suburb of Northern Virginia. Any recommendations on specific soils from Home Depot that would work well?

It’s great that you’re planting Asters and Rudbeckia! For flowers like those, something like Black Kow would be excellent, especially if you have sandy subsoil. It really helps retain moisture and keeps the plants healthy. Plus, it works well in sunny spots!
I love using the Kellogg organic all-natural garden soil. I usually use it as a top layer but you can also use it as a base. It's really nice for retaining moisture while still allowing drainage. Just something to consider for your flower beds!
You might also want to check out their organic gardening soil. It’s usually good for a range of flowers. Just ensure it corresponds with the requirements of those Asters and Rudbeckia! If it's sunny, you should have a good setup!

Yeah, I’ve heard Black Kow is solid for a variety of flowers, especially in well-draining soil. Just make sure to mix it in well!
