I'm new to gardening and recently got some advice to move away from pre-made soil (which was packed with wood chips). I tried a mix of peat moss, compost, and vermiculite, and it worked wonders for me! I'm looking for suggestions on the best soil mix to use for starting new seeds. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t usually make my own seed starter mix; I prefer buying it. After a few bad runs with local options, I found Coast of Maine brand soil and it’s really worked out well for me!
If you're ditching that wood chip mess, Miracle Grow works great! Black Cow is solid too, and I had good results with Purple Cow, but that's more of a compost blend.
Thanks! I'll keep those in mind.
I use pure coco coir for my seedlings. It's a sustainable alternative to peat and works really well for starting seeds. Definitely worth considering!
Thanks for the tip!
