I'm looking to cut some 4x4 posts diagonally to create right-angle triangles. Can anyone recommend the best tool to do this safely and easily, especially if I need to make multiple cuts?

You could also go old-school with a crosscut saw! Just remember to brace the post properly so it doesn’t slip while you cut.
If you're going for power tools, a 12" sliding miter saw is perfect. They make it easy to set up and get accurate cuts, and a good ergonomic grip keeps everything controlled. Just make sure your workspace is safe!
A sliding miter saw is definitely your best bet! It can handle those diagonal cuts really well and often has a built-in clamp to keep everything steady while you work. If you can find one with a detent at 22.5 degrees, it'll make your life a lot easier! Plus, you can rent one for about $45 a day from most tool rental places.

That sounds great! Just to make sure, how do you hold the 4x4 securely while cutting? I don’t have a ton of tools.
