What’s the Best Way to Attach a Floating Shelf to My Desk Without Drilling?

Hey everyone! I bought this cheap floating shelf from Five Below and a desk from Amazon, and I'm hoping to make my desk a bit bigger by attaching the shelf directly to it. The problem is, I only have a few tools: screwdrivers, pliers, allen keys, and a mallet. I really want to do this without drilling any holes. Any ideas?

You might want to think about using some VHB tape to stick it on. If your desk is made of steel, another option could be to superglue magnets into the shelf holes for a stronger hold. Keep in mind, these won't be as secure as screws, but it's worth a shot! For a more hands-on approach, you could consider using self-tapping screws, but be prepared for a bit of a workout!

I like the tape idea! Just make sure to clean the surfaces well before applying to get the best adhesion.

I know this sounds a bit unconventional, but have you thought about using C-clamps? They can hold the shelf in place and have spaces for screws if you decide to go that route later. Just a thought!
