I recently bought a house and need to change the color of the faux stone in the interior. It currently has a purple undertone that won't match well with the natural white oak floors I plan to install. Is there a safe and effective way to change its color? Any tips would be appreciated!

You might want to consider using Romabio limewash! It comes in different shades and can work well for faux stone. It's a great option if you're looking for a makeover that feels more natural.
Since the faux stone isn't real, painting it is definitely an option! You can look into faux pointing techniques, but keep in mind you'll need 3 to 5 different colors to do it well. I did a lot of similar projects in college theater—it can get messy but is super fun! Just make sure to practice a bit before you dive in.
It would help to know where the faux stone is located in your home. Is it on the walls, around a fireplace, or something else? Knowing the location will help with the suggestions. Also, if it's on the fireplace surround, going from floor to ceiling, you'll want to choose your color wisely!

It's on the fireplace surround, and it covers the whole area from floor to ceiling.
