I recently moved into a new house and unfortunately, I've discovered carpenter ants. I've already managed to kill about 20 of them, but I can't use a bug bomb because I have a gas stove. I'm looking for other effective methods to get rid of these pests for good. Any suggestions?

Using Max Force Ant bait gel can work wonders! Place it on a small piece of paper near their paths. The ants will carry it back to their colony, and in a couple of days, you should see a significant reduction in the population. Just keep in mind they can be a bit picky at times, but it usually does the trick.
Maybe you could import some ants from a different area to take over? Just kidding! Seriously though, stick to baits and dust, they'll serve you better than any wild idea!
You might want to give diatomaceous earth a try! Just sprinkle a light layer of it where you've seen the ants. It’ll get into their exoskeleton and cause them to dehydrate and die. Just make sure it’s a fine dust for the best effect.
Consider using borax; it's been known to help with ant problems. Just mix it with sugar and water to make a bait, and it'll attract the ants while effectively dealing with them.
