I'm renovating my bathroom and discovered a 6" round duct hole underneath the subfloor where the old vanity used to sit. It's great news since the bathroom was always chilly! The new vanity I'm installing has legs, so I'm unsure how to handle this duct. Can I just cut some slots in my new LVP floor over the hole to create a vent? What's the best or proper method to go about this?

If your vanity is on legs, make sure the flooring runs continuously beneath it for a smooth look. Also, there are registers specifically designed for round ducts, which would be ideal here. You might want to add a deflector to redirect the airflow, especially if you're aiming for efficient heating.
First, measure that hole! If it's indeed 6 inches, just grab a 6" vent cover. I recommend getting one that can direct air into your room, to maximize warmth. You can check out options at places like Home Depot, they have adjustable covers that might be perfect for your situation.
Installing a register right under the vanity is your best bet! This was actually a common luxury feature back in the day, and you might find a similar setup under your kitchen sink too. Just make sure it fits well with your new flooring layout!
