What’s the Best Way to Finish Drywall Corners Near Door Casings?

I have a couple of interior drywall corners that need finishing, but they're really close to the door casings. It seems like typically you'd use drywall tape and mud for these corners, but I'm worried that it'll be tough to get a good finish with the casings so close. What do you recommend I do in this situation? Thanks for any help!

You should really take off the door casings to get a good finish. If you try to mud right next to them without removing them, it likely won’t look good. Make sure to do it properly for the best results!

Yeah, I agree! It’s worth the extra work to avoid a rough finish.

Removing the door trim and corner bead is your best bet. Once you've done that, you can finish the corners properly with tape and mud, then put the trim back on. It'll look much cleaner that way!

Definitely! It’s better to tackle it right instead of risking a messy finish.
