What’s the best way to fix a bathroom door scraping the floor?

I've noticed that my bathroom door is rubbing against the floor and leaving scrape marks on the tile when I open it about halfway. It's been a problem since I moved in. Does anyone have any simple solutions to fix this?

If it’s due to your house settling, a cool trick is to tape some sandpaper to the floor where it scrapes. Just swing the door back and forth a few times, and it should take off about 1/16" of the material. It's a simple fix!

You could also consider cutting about 1/8” off the bottom of the door if you have the tools for it.

Have you checked if the door hinges are loose? Sometimes that can cause the door to sag a bit, which leads to scraping.

Another option is to trim or sand the bottom of the door. Just a little off can make a big difference!
