What’s the Best Way to Fix a Persistent Crack in My House’s Exterior Wall?

I've been dealing with a crack on the outside wall of my house that's about 12 inches long. I've tried patching it with concrete repair and applying stucco after it dries, but it keeps reappearing after a few months. Does anyone have suggestions on how to fix this permanently?

It’s hard to give a definite answer without figuring out if it’s related to a foundation issue, settling, or maybe water getting in. Also, the type of stucco matters since there are several methods for applying it. You might want to consider checking the foundation because if the crack keeps coming back, that could be the root cause. Just keep in mind, fixing the foundation can be expensive!

I agree with the need for more context! If you could provide some photos, that would help a lot, but I understand this community might have restrictions on images. In general, persistent cracks can sometimes point to deeper issues, so you might want to investigate that.
