I just moved into a new place and now I have this older glass greenhouse. The vent is broken, so it heats up quickly, but keeping the door open helps, though slugs are finding their way in. I'm a bit iffy about the soil because I don't know what's been grown there before or how it was treated. I have a bunch of tomatoes and peppers that are outgrowing their pots, and I'm planning to move them into the greenhouse after the first week of May. I get that tomatoes need plenty of room for their roots. I've seen different methods for growing tomatoes in greenhouses – vertical grow bags with the top cut open, horizontal grow bags, and even fabric grow bags filled with soil. Could anyone share their experiences on which method yields the best results and manages moisture effectively?

You might want to look into an irrigation method where you use a water bottle with some string connecting it to the soil. I’m planning to try that for my tomatoes this year! It sounds like a simple way to keep them hydrated without overdoing it.
Interesting, I haven't heard of this before - will do some research. Thank you!
