I spent a lot of time weeding yesterday and now my hand tendons, especially in my right hand, are really sore. I'm wondering if this pain will go away on its own and if there are any tips to prevent this in the future?

I've been in the same boat with hand fatigue from gardening. One thing that helped me was getting monthly massages to keep any soreness at bay. It really made a difference for me this year compared to last!
Most likely, your hand will start to feel better in a couple of days. In the future, make sure to take regular breaks, stretch your hands, and consider using tools like a hoe or trowel to reduce the strain on your fingers and tendons.
Sounds like you might just not be used to that level of activity! Rest it, ice it, and think about some ergonomic tools that could make weeding easier on your hands. Also, maybe try some warm-up exercises like making fists and then spreading your fingers before diving in next time.
