I just bought a ton of large posters and canvases and framed them all, but I made a mistake by not checking my apartment lease first. I found out it says I can't alter or affix anything to the walls, which includes using any kind of adhesive or nails. I really want to display my artwork, but I need to find a way that won't damage the walls. I also might ask my landlord if I can put them up as long as I promise to fix any minor damage when I move out. The walls are standard painted white walls, and here are the sizes of the items I want to hang:
- 2 posters at 24 x 34 inches
- 10 posters at 24 x 36 inches
- 1 poster at 30 x 40 inches
- 1 poster at 17 x 24 inches
- 1 snap frame at 32 x 47 inches
- 2 canvases at 24 x 36 inches
How can I hang these without causing damage, and if I need to mount them, what's the least damaging way to do that?

Have you tried using Command strips? They are perfect for hanging things without leaving a mark on the walls when you take them down. Just make sure to follow their instructions for weight limits, especially since you have some larger pieces, but they should work great for the sizes you mentioned!
If you want a more sturdy solution, you could consider using picture hanging strips or hooks that don’t require nails or screws. These usually come with adhesive backs, so they might comply with your lease restrictions and should hold heavier frames well.

Yeah, Command strips come in different sizes, so you can choose ones rated for heavier art pieces. Just be sure to press them firmly against the wall and the poster for a solid hold!
