What’s the Best Way to Hide a Cord on a Plaster Wall for a Baby Monitor?

I'm trying to baby proof a cord for a camera that I'll be mounting on the wall several feet above my son's crib. I'm concerned about using standard cable channels since their adhesive might damage the plaster when I eventually remove it. I'd rather not drill through the wall either. Any creative ideas on how I can safely hide the cord?

One option is to mount the camera on the opposite wall above the dresser, angled towards the crib. This keeps the cord out of reach and still allows you to keep an eye on your little one without having to worry about the cord being grabbed. Just a thought!

Thanks! That’s probably what I’ll end up doing, but ideally I’d like it closer. I’m still in that phase where I sneak peeks at my baby sleeping for a serotonin boost from all that cuteness!

We placed our baby monitor camera on top of a wardrobe facing the crib, securing it with a bit of blutac. The image quality is good enough to see everything, and the microphone picks up any sounds. I initially thought about mounting it over the crib, but then realized it would need to be moved once my daughter started standing, which happened quicker than I anticipated!

You could run the camera wire up to the ceiling, keeping it clear, and then run it down again. If you do this before your kiddo starts moving around, it should stay out of reach until he becomes a toddler!
