What’s the best way to hide a floor cord when setting up my computer desk?

I'm moving into a new place with friends and need to set up my computer desk in my bedroom. The room is narrow but long, with the grounded outlet located between two entryways. This leaves me with limited options for positioning my desk. I can either run the power cord up the wall or, more simply, lay it on the floor under my bed and then over to the desk. I'm looking for suggestions on how to hide and protect the cord while using the latter approach. Any tips?

You could tape the cord down and throw a rug over it! This way, you'd keep it more secure and have a nice look for the room. Just be careful, as stepping on it could potentially damage the cord.

D-Line cord covers are perfect for situations like this! They make it easy to protect the cord while keeping it hidden. If that's not an option, consider getting a longer cord and running it along the baseboards for a safer setup.

They have cord covers designed for this kind of situation. You might also consider using a rug to help hide it. Just keep in mind that there might still be a little bump from the cord which could be a tripping hazard.
