I'm curious about how everyone keeps track of their plants in the garden. It seems like most labels don't last until harvest time. What methods do you use to ensure your plants are clearly marked?

I usually just remember where I planted things, especially after they’ve sprouted. But if I have similar-looking plants, I’ll draw a chart to keep track. It really helps me differentiate between varieties!
For something more durable, I found that using a UV-resistant marker on cut-up pieces of old vertical blinds works well. The vinyl lasts a couple of years, but I do avoid letting the labels touch the soil just to be safe. It’s a neat hack I picked up, but keep in mind there’s a tiny risk of lead contamination, so use caution!

I've had good luck with using pencils on plastic tags—they hold up really well for seasons. Sharpies, on the other hand, tend to fade super quickly, sometimes within just a few months.
