Hey everyone! I'm really struggling with tiger lilies taking over around my air conditioner unit. I've tried digging them out, but they just keep coming back. I want to find a more effective way to deal with these pesky plants without resorting to extreme measures. Any tips on how to keep them from coming back this spring?

I actually love tiger lilies! But I get it, they can be overwhelming. The best bet is still to keep digging them up.
Definitely dig down deep and try to pull out all the bulbs and roots you can find. After that, cover the area with cardboard, a heavy tarp, and some rocks or mulch for a year (or two) to starve them out. It’s not foolproof, but it might just do the trick!
The key is persistence! Keep digging them out repeatedly, and be sure to cut them down often too. If you don’t let those leaves feed the rhizomes, it’ll weaken the roots over time. I did this in my backyard where it was overrun with all sorts of invasive plants from the 80s, and it worked!
I feel your pain, I have mugwort I'm trying to eliminate too!

No bamboo? That's a horror story.
