Hey everyone! I'm trying to propagate a jade cutting that was given to me, but I'm not sure of the best method. Should I place the bottom of the cutting in water, or should I just stick it directly into soil? The leaves are looking a bit shriveled since I received it a week after it was cut. Any advice on how to go about this would be great!

I'd recommend just sticking it in soil! Make sure to acclimate it to some sunlight as well, and then forget about it for a few weeks. It should be fine!
Actually, I have a different take—try water! I've been water propagating jade cuttings for decades, and they seem to root faster in water. Just make sure to submerge the end of the cutting in water. I've done this multiple times and had great success, so don’t hesitate to give it a shot!
I've got to agree—go with soil right away. I usually use small nursery pots and water every week or two. Just a heads up though, it's common to wait until you see roots before watering. But if you're in a really dry climate, a bit of moisture might help.
