I'm looking for effective methods to get rid of algae on my fence before I repaint it. I've already tried using Alpro Organic without much success, so I'm curious to hear about other products or techniques that have worked for you guys.

I've had some luck with Dulux Trade Weathershield Multi Surface Fungicidal Wash. We painted it on our shady fence three years ago, and thankfully, no algae has returned since!
A simple and effective method I've used is mixing a few drops of bleach with water in a spray bottle. Spray it on the algae, scrub it with a brush, and then rinse off with soapy water in a day or two. It's especially handy if you're tackling a really green fence spot.
Does it work well with a pump sprayer, or is it better to apply it some other way?
