I've run into some dry rotted wood and I'm not sure what to do next. Here's a link to the image I have: https://imgur.com/a/gIXA5dK. I've got a few ideas but I could really use some advice. One option is to replace the wood with new, but I'm having a hard time finding pressure-treated wood in the size I need, especially for the trim. Another thought was to switch to PVC, but I'm clueless about how to cut it to size and where I might find the right boards. Plus, it seems like these options need 22.5 degree cuts, and while I can manage that with small trim on my miter saw, I have no idea how to tackle a larger board. Vinyl siding is also an option, but is that really cost-effective? What would you do in my situation?

It looks like the trim pieces might just be a little bit damaged. You could try cleaning the area and adding a primer, then painting it with a couple of coats. New treated wood isn't necessary for such a small issue. Just remember that when replacing wood, painted boards usually hold up better.
But the wood is dry rotted, you should definitely check if the bigger boards are also affected before just painting over anything!
