Hey everyone! I'm in a bit of a bind with my pothos plants. I need to cut them back, but I want to do it safely without accidentally propagating them. Since we're really careful about our native plants here and have the perfect environment for pothos to take over, I'm looking for advice on how to dispose of the cuttings without them spreading. I can't just throw them in the regular trash or use a green waste bin, and I'm even considering starting a mini compost bin on my patio. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Throwing them in the oven to kill them might sound extreme, but it’s one way to ensure they’re dead before disposal. Just make sure to monitor it closely if you go that route!
One option might be to give your pothos away on social media! If you know anyone who could use them, that could be a good way to ensure they have a safe new home. If you decide to toss them, cut the excess and leave it in a black garbage bag in the sun for a while before tossing it in the bin—this helps them die off first.
Have you thought about donating them to a local office or place like a spa? A lot of people appreciate having plants at their desks. If you know teachers or staff members, they might want them too! I totally get the time issue, though—running around can be a hassle.
