What’s the best way to store a track saw?

I just picked up a track saw but didn't get extra batteries or chargers, just the saw and the track. I'm wondering what kind of bag or box I should use to store it. I have lots of Packout boxes, but they're all in use right now. I'm open to bags too, as I've seen a few options online. Any recommendations?

I store my saw in a rolling drawer Packout, and the rails are kept in a separate bag I found on Amazon. It keeps everything organized and makes transport easy!

If you're not set on Packout, a Dewalt TStak large box works too. They even have foam inserts you can get for detailed organization if that’s your thing.

I'm using a Milwaukee Packout XL for mine, just pulled out the foam insert—it was taking up too much space! Now it fits well with my other tools.

For those wondering if a track saw is a must-have, I can vouch for it! I’ve had my Festool for years, and honestly, it’s reshaped how I work—safer and way easier to handle than a table saw.

I completely agree, I've got the Festool too! I don’t know how I managed without it for so long.

Great points! They're a game-changer for sure.

The ammo can Packout is a snug fit for the saw. If you go with a larger Packout box, you can stash batteries, a dust hose, blades, and connectors too! It gives you more flexibility to keep everything organized.

Totally agree! I keep my blades underneath the saw in the ammo can, and my connectors in a separate case. I like having batteries in their dedicated spot and dust hoses with the vacs.

I found the track saw fits great in a 15-inch soft-sided Packout bag, along with clamps and an extra blade. The awkward shape of the saw tends to waste space in hard-sided boxes, in my opinion.
