I've got over 30 plants and it's a bit overwhelming trying to remember which ones need misting, watering, or feeding and when. I looked into plant care apps, but most of the feedback I read suggests they can lead to overwatering and aren't very reliable. I'm looking for effective methods to keep track of all their needs. Has anyone found a good system or app for managing plant care?

I think apps can definitely be useful but they're best used as reminders. I prefer to track everything in a simple spreadsheet, noting when I last watered or fertilized each plant. That way, I can easily see which plants need attention.
Using plant care apps can actually help if you treat them as a guideline rather than gospel. I personally use Planta to remind me when it's time to check on my plants. Once you get a feel for what your plants actually prefer, you can customize the schedule to better fit their needs. Just the other day, I adjusted the watering times for a couple of them because the app suggested watering them just a day late, and they looked pretty wilted!
I go with my instincts most of the time. I bottom water, and when the soil is dry about 2 knuckles deep, I know it’s time to give them a drink! It feels more natural to me.
One of my strategies is to assign a color to each plant type and keep a calendar on my phone to mark when I do things for them. It keeps everything organized and easy to track.
I also use Planta as a guide, especially with my huge collection of 50 plants! If the soil feels moist, I’ll just snooze the reminder. Blindly following the app's alerts can create problems. So far, I find Planta's advice pretty accurate for my plants.

Totally agree! I also started using Planta and found it really useful once I tailored the reminders to my plants' actual needs.
