I'm looking to buy a large plant from a store that's three hours away, but I want to make sure I can transport it safely. I have a pickup truck and will be driving on a highway at about 70mph. How can I best secure the plant during the trip? Should I consider getting one online instead?

Wrap the plant loosely in butcher paper to keep its leaves from getting damaged. Laying it down in the truck bed and strapping it in is a good idea. If the soil looks dry, give it a little water before the drive. Plants can handle a bit of stress, so it should be fine!
You should definitely use some tie-down straps to secure the plant in the truck bed. A tarp can also help protect it from wind damage. Just make sure it’s tied down well so it doesn’t shift around.
If you can, think about getting a cheap truck cap to cover the bed. This will protect the plant from the elements and keep it safe during the ride. It could be a game changer!

Thanks for the tips! I’ll make sure to give it some water before I go.
