I'm considering growing herbs indoors because buying them from the store can get pretty pricey. I understand there will be some initial expenses like equipment, especially a grow lamp. But I'm curious about the ongoing electricity costs and if there's a way to make it budget-friendly. Has anyone tried this?

Electricity costs can really depend on where you live. LED grow lights are quite efficient, so if you set up a small indoor herb garden, it shouldn't break the bank. Though, have you considered using a window for natural sunlight? It might be a good idea to test that first if it's viable for you!

I actually can't rely on windows for sunlight since I'm situated near the Arctic Circle. The sunlight is scarce outside of the summer months.
