What’s the Deal with DeWalt Miter Saw Blades?

Has anyone tried DeWalt miter saw blades? I recently bought one and I'm really not happy with its performance. I'm curious to hear about others' experiences and if there's something I'm missing.

Honestly, DeWalt blades are pretty average. They won't blow your mind, but they're reliable enough. What specifically do you hate about it? And what type of wood are you cutting? A 100T blade is best for delicate tasks like molding, so if you’re just crosscutting standard 2x lumber, that could be part of the issue.

Right! I think the price had me expecting more performance. It doesn't cut as well as some of the finer blades out there. Plus, it has this loud whistling noise while cutting, which is just strange compared to my other blades.

I get what you're saying. A 100T blade is meant for super fine cuts, but it can be pretty slow too. I usually reserve those for detailed finish work, like interior trim. DeWalt blades aren't top-tier like Forrest, but they do offer decent value for the price. Can you share more about what specific issues you're facing with it?

For dense materials like maple, 100T could struggle. I had a similar experience with crown molding and found my cuts were better with a different blade. Sounds like you might have encountered a bad one since you spent a decent amount at Lowe's.
