What’s the Deal with My Rear Door Size?

I have a unique situation with the rear door at my house. The back room serves multiple purposes, including laundry and utility functions, housing things like a well pump, water treatment equipment, a closet, and the electric panel. The exterior door appears to be an RV-style door and is only about 72 inches tall. Additionally, there's a short staircase (three steps) leading up to this door from outside. Given these constraints, should I opt for a custom-sized door or should I consider building out to accommodate a standard-sized door and potentially eliminate the outdoor stairs?

I think a photo would really help us understand the situation better! There could be specific reasons for the door's current size that aren't immediately obvious.

From what I see, there might not be enough space for a proper header if you want to install an 80" door beneath the shed roof. You might have to weigh the options of custom versus standard carefully!
