Hey everyone! A while ago, I learned a neat trick for propagating plants. I was shown how to prune a part of a tomato plant (specifically from the area between its main stem and side branches) and then place that cutting in water to grow a new plant. I'm curious about what this process is called and what other plants I can use this technique on. Any insights?

It's called propagating! It's a common method for making new plants. You'd be amazed at the variety of plants you can do this with. Last year, I propagated a few hydrangeas from cuttings, and they turned out beautifully. Definitely a worthwhile technique, especially for perennials!

That's awesome, Gabe! What exact steps did you take for the hydrangeas? Did you need to use any root hormones?
