What’s the Deal with SolarEdge Inverters Being So Cheap?

I'm currently searching for a dependable and budget-friendly solar inverter and keep finding these SolarEdge options popping up. For instance, I've seen the SolarEdge SE76000H listed on eBay, often going for around $350 to $450, whether new or open box. I'm wondering if there's something I'm overlooking. Are there any hidden costs or drawbacks that come with these inverters?

The lower price of SolarEdge inverters can be attributed to their large market presence and production scale. They produce a significant amount of these units, which helps reduce costs. However, keep in mind that you might need optimizers with these inverters, which can add to your overall expenditure. Just double-check that you’re factoring those in when considering the price.

Are the optimizers mandatory, or can I skip them?
