I'm trying to understand the main differences between the M12 Axis Heated Jacket and the Tough Shell version. Can someone break it down for me?

The M12 Axis Jacket is designed to be layered, so it’s not as thick as the Tough Shell. Plus, the fabric on the Axis is pretty thin and can tear easily compared to the Tough Shell. Honestly, I’d recommend going with a heated hoodie if you can! They seem to work better for layering.

I’ve got the heated jacket myself, and I still need to wear a few layers underneath. It really works well, though! The newer versions are much easier to move in compared to the older, stiffer ones. If I were to buy again, I’d probably go for the heated hoodie instead, but both are good choices for keeping warm while working outside.

I had the heated hoodie before but didn’t like the feel of the material as a base layer. It just didn’t sit well with me, but the jacket works, even if it’s a bit thin.

I’d say go for a heated hoodie. I have a jacket (not sure of the model) but it’s quite thin, and I usually wear a hoodie underneath it. Don't get me wrong, I really like it and it serves me well as my winter coat, but layering with a heated hoodie under something like a Carhartt is way warmer than just relying on a jacket alone.

I was thinking about completing my set with the jacket this year after getting the hoodie and vest, but now I'm curious about which jacket is actually better!
