I'm looking for software that makes it easy to create and edit wiring schematics. I won't be designing PCBs, just something for personal use while prototyping. Currently, I'm using tools like draw.io and Inkscape, but I find them a bit cumbersome to work with. Any suggestions for simpler options?

If you're looking for something free and straightforward, give WireViz a shot. It's designed specifically for wiring diagrams and can be really handy! Check it out on GitHub.
Honestly, I still stick to the traditional method—just good old pencil and paper! I use a green engineering pad; it makes it super easy to sketch things out without fussing with software. Plus, I always have my big eraser ready when I need to make changes!
KiCad is a solid choice if you're looking for something a bit more feature-rich. It's mainly for PCBs, but it works great for wiring diagrams too. Just a heads-up, it might have a slight learning curve, but totally worth it!
